"The family that runs this homestay is very warm and friendly. The room was big (surprising for Vietnam!), modern and clean. The best part for us was the view. The limestone mountains and the river we could see out our windows and door were just so picturesque. The location is away from the main homestay areas (although very close to Hoa Lu and the Trang An Boat Ride entrance) as well as any shops. They have a decent food offering, we found it useful to supplement with eating in town and bringing...

"One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. The property is relaxing and peaceful and the best part for us was the breakfast. Everything was freshly made and they even have fruit that grows on the property. "I really enjoyed my stay here, it is a brand new hotel. The staff were so friendly, including Huong, Tung tu and Phuong. Who WhatsApp me to help me organise a driver or checking if I wanted any lunch preparing. At the same time they give you space too. So the ideal balance. It’s such a peaceful location, if you want visit the Padonga. As a nomad who works too, the wifi was really strong here, both within the room and outside. The whole swimming pool turns into a whirlpool and the loungers...

Top Yen Thuy Hotel Reviews

Trang An Lamia Bungalow

8/10 Good

"The staff were very friendly but the pool and food were a bit of a walk which i wasn’t expecting. The bed was very comfortable and the ac was functional and worked well. I had mixed feelings about how the closest food option was a bit pricey but it was good and the pool was cool same with the room."

La Charm Ninh Binh Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"This has been by far, our best stay in Vietnam. The hotel and pool are absolutely stunning. The construction materials, plants and artwork are well designed, safe and beautiful. Nice beds with big fat pillows, nice soak tub. It is quiet and the cleaning staff know what they are doing. The hosting staff are very sweet people and the food is amazing. Highest recommendation for a long stay."

Trang An River View Ecolodge

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay here was fantastic. The family were so lovely, kind, generous and helpful and it was a pleasure to stay at their Homestay. It is new, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The surrounding views are fantastic and it is very quiet with little in walking distance but excellent bikes that can be borrowed and mopeds/motorbikes to rent plus we had no issues using Grab for taxis. The rooms are huge, begs comfortable, breakfasts tasty and meals and drinks available in the evenings if you didn’t want to go out. Trang An boat rides are less than a 10 min cycle away. It was our favourite part of our trip and I would highly recommend."

Ninh Binh Mountain View Homestay

10/10 Excellent

"Great room with fantastic air con and a lovely pool. The bathroom was a little basic but it didn't matter. Jasmine was so helpful and a fantastic host. We had the banana pancakes for breakfast which were amazing! Jasmine was also happy to sort us local taxis at the same price as a grab as the property is a little far from Hoa Lu. Highly recommend for a friendly, peaceful homestay."

Bai Dinh Garden Resort & Spa Ninh Binh

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful venue with great facilities and complimentary breakfast. The highlight of our stay was the lovely reception staff, Lam and Uyen. They were able to help us out and give great suggestions. Lam went above and beyond when I left my passport behind at a bike rental shop, going out of her way to arrange delivery the next day to my hotel in Hanoi. Thank you so much Lam! 🙏"

Hang Mua Ecolodge Ninh Hoa

10/10 Excellent

"This is a hidden gem, it is nestled in rice paddies where you can ride one of their bikes to market in the early morning and see what village life is like. You are central to head to any of the local attractions but then you return to serenity and swim under the stars in their beautiful pool. The rooms are gorgeous with beautiful bathrooms and I had wonderful mountain views goats roaming them included! The staff were so accomodating with late check out and allowing me to use the amenities after a day exploring before I jumped on a night bus. You are not treated as just another tourist but as part of a village. ❤️"
